IRONeX was chosen by the Archaeological Heritage Superintendency of Rome to design the external façades and interiors of the first emperor’s villa as part of the redevelopment works carried out at Palatine in 2014 to mark the Bimillennium of Augustus.
The overall project consists of approximately 450 square meters of metal cladding of the external ventilated facade, with a customized laser-cut texture, and metal sheets for cladding columns and interior walls. Each individual IRONeX Corten Steel sheets has been meticulously handcrafted, with out passion for metals, craftsmanship end experience, making each element unique and one-of-kind.
2nd place in the international IQU award (Urban Innovation and Quality): Urban redevelopment and architectural recovery category.
